Jeff Ackerman Publisher, The Union and Nevada County Publishing Company
email: jackerman@theunion.com Ackerman has served as Publisher of The Union in Grass Valley since Feb., 2002. He has been employed by Swift Communications, Inc., since Oct., 1984, when he started as a reporter and editor for The Union. Before returning to The Union, Ackerman served as Publisher of the Nevada Appeal from October, 1995 through January, 2002. He also served as Regional General Manager for Sierra Nevada Media Group during that period. He is a lifetime member of the Boys & Girls Club of America, past president of the chambers of commerce for Incline Village, Carson City and Grass Valley and currently serves as president for the Nevada City Chamber. Ackerman is also past president of the Nevada Press Association and is a member of the Swift Communications’ Executive Team. |
