Mark Raymond Publisher, The News-Review Publishing Company
email: mraymond@nrtoday.com Raymond joined Swift Communications, Inc., as Publisher of The News-Review, in Roseburg, Ore., in 2000. He has served as Publisher the past 30 years for diverse newspaper operations across six states. His responsibilities ranged from publishing weekly and daily newspapers to publishing a suburban group of newspapers distributing to more than 200,000 households. While the majority of his industry work has been as a publisher, his early career included work in advertising sales and management, as well as work as an editor. He has served on two state press association boards, including tenure as President of the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association. His previous community involvement includes presidential terms for two chambers of commerce as well as service with many community organizations. He currently serves on three community-oriented foundation boards in Roseburg. He earned his B.A. from Michigan State University and his M.S. in Administration from Central Michigan University. |
