The Glenwood Springs Post Independent was created by the merger of the historic century-old Glenwood Post and the upstart Glenwood Independent in 2000. Since then, the newspaper has flourished, covering all aspects of this thriving community in the mountains about 150 miles west of Denver. Glenwood, at the confluence of the Colorado and Roaring Fork rivers, boasts the world’s largest hot springs pool and the Sunlight Ski Area, and serves as a gateway to the Roaring Fork Valley, home to the ski resorts of Aspen and Snowmass, as well as world-class fly fishing and white-water thrills.
